History of our hotel – restaurant

The inn was built after the 30 Years’ War. In 1738 it was converted by the then owner Georg Wildt. From its original location on the outskirts of the town center, the inn moved, due to structural community development northwards and is now located in the middle of the town. The old building has survived in this state until today, despite further additions and renovations in the years up to 1982. For more than 100 years, namely since 1892, the inn has been run by the Bachmeier family. Georg Bachmeier the Elder has been Mayor of Behringersdorf for 21 years until 1928.

Regional and original

In times of global marketing and high availability of standardized foods, we have deliberately decided to use regional fresh goods from nearby producers. Quality and direct contact with the producers are very important to us. We know our suppliers personally, and they know about our requirements in food. Having short distances and direct communication, we are buying products for our daily menu in small quantities. Our guests and we love it, when new supplies such as venison or porcini mushrooms from the nearby Nuremberg Reichswald, expands our daily range in the short term. On our site Naturally local you get detailed information on where our products come from.
